Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
Keep the road safe for cars and for pedestrians with our Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. An in-vehicle camera and radar or laser sensor help detect vehicles or pedestrians in front of your car. The Pre-Collision System prompts drivers to avoid collision by using audio and visual alerts if it suspects that a frontal collision is likely.
If the driver notices that a collision is possible and applies the brakes, the Pre-Collision System may apply additional force using Brake Assist. The PCS may also apply brakes to help reduce your speed, which can prevent collisions from happening or limit the impact.
This feature also includes Bicyclist Detection, which during daylight hours can detect oncoming bicyclists and prompt visual and auditory warnings to the driver to prevent collision.
Lane Departure Alert
Any driver who’s been behind the wheel for years has made the mistake of unintentionally swaying into another lane. And while you may recklessly try to reach for your sunglasses that have fallen under the seat again, you can trust that Toyota’s Lane Departure Alert, which can detect when your vehicle has crossed along the visible markings of the road, will alert you of any mistakes.
The Lane Departure Alert feature will activate if your car is driving at a speed of 32 miles per hour or higher and will prompt you with auditory cues to safely bring your vehicle back into its proper lane.
This feature also includes Steering Assist, which may detect unintentional drifting and make small corrective steering inputs to help bring you back to the correct lane. The Road Edge Detection can determine where the boundary is between asphalt and the side of the road by scanning the ground for grass, soil, and the curb.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Intended for highway driving or when you need consistent speed, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control allows drivers to preselect a speed and maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control uses your car’s front-grille-mounted radar and in-vehicle camera to detect other vehicles and the distance from you.
No matter how slow a car is traveling in front of you, the DRCC will adjust your preset speed by determining what speed you need to be traveling at to avoid collision. The DRCC can apply the brakes if you need to slow things down and will alert you when your desired speed has been changed.
Your new Toyota will also come with Full-Speed Range DRCC, which will keep you cruising evenly when you’re driving between 0 and 110 miles per hour. The FSR DRCC enables low-speed following, which will match the speed and stop your car in certain circumstances before possible collision. This is a feature that is only available with an automatic transmission car.

Road Sign Assist
Never pass a stop sign again with Road Sign Assist. Lane Tracing
Lane Tracing Assist is the answer to keeping your vehicle centered while also displaying your position on the road. When using Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, the LTA will help keep your car safe by taking the strain off the driver. It will benefit you most during traffic jams, but can be turned off if you feel that this service is not necessary for your trip.
